V-Card

Kristin is a lifelong resident of New Orleans, Louisiana and has practiced with her partners since the beginning of her legal career.  After jumping into the “deep end” of litigation immediately following the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, she mediated and tried many cases involving insurance coverage and claims handling, primarily on behalf of insurance companies, adjusters, and agents.  She was also involved in a years-long federal multi-district litigation (MDL) defending manufacturers of welding consumables, providing invaluable in-court trial experience with high-exposure cases.  She then returned to insurance coverage and bad faith defense full time, primarily covering the State of Louisiana and its many diverse courts and parties.  She enjoys working amicably and effectively with opposing counsel to resolve claims where appropriate and take the cases to trial when necessary.

Throughout her practice, Kristin has defended claims stemming from breach of contract, assisting clients in “undoing” default verdicts obtained against them, and negotiating workable solutions for clients to avoid litigation when desired.

Kristin’s insurance experience includes first-party and third-party disputes with litigation as well as defense of life insurance claims and alleged improper denial of property, bodily injury, and commercial claims.

She enjoys traveling with her family, cheering for the Saints, and crafting glittered Mardi Gras shoes.
